snowday

in portland we're told ALL THE TIME that it's going to snow but rarely is the weatherman ever right. yesterday the snow came and went pretty quickly -- blanketing when i woke up, melted by noon, and then flurrying by two. the city (and schools, yeeeee!!!) shut down, of course, as is the case whenever we have a quarter inch on the ground...
